The National Institute of Design (NID) has started the 2020 Admission application process to its four year Bachelor of Design programs and four year Graduate Diploma Program in Design. The admissions are via a two stage entrance test formats:  DAT-Prelims & DAT-Mains.

About NID: National Institute of Design, Ahmadabad and at its Bengaluru & Gandhinagar campuses is an Institute of National Importance under the DIPP, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. NID Ahmedabad offers 4 Years B.Design Program (B.Des).

In addition there are 4 other NIDs - NID Andhra Pradesh, NID Haryana, NID Assam and NID Madhya Pradesh are independent autonomous institutes under the DIPP, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India and offers four-year long Graduate Diploma Programme in Design (GDPD). 

NID Ahmadabad offers 125 seats in its B.Design UG program while each of the other 4 NIDs have an intake of 75 seats each.

Applications to apply to the programs have started on 1st October and the last date to apply is 7th Nov, 2019. 
The DAT-Prelims will be conducted across multiple cities on 29th Dec, 2019.

Shortlisted students will be invited to take DAT-Mains starting 29th April, 2020.
